Table Search
Add a built-in search bar to your table to filter rows instantly. Simple Tables lets users type keywords and narrow the visible rows in real time, without reloading the page.
How it works
- Edit the table macro or import dialog.
- Enable Search bar.
- Save or publish the page — the table will display a search input above the data.
As users type, the table updates instantly to show only matching rows. Search is applied across the visible table content.
What to expect
- Search updates the current table view in real time.
- It helps users quickly locate rows that contain a given term.
- It is especially useful for medium and large tables.
Why it matters
Search makes large tables much easier to work with. Instead of scanning row by row, users can jump directly to the entries they need with a few keystrokes.
Support Agent
Acme Co — Customer Support
Context and challenge:
Support teams often work with long ticket lists where finding the right issue quickly matters.
Solution – Table search:
Agents can type terms such as payment, urgent, or bug into the search bar to narrow the visible rows and focus on the relevant items.
Benefits:
• Faster lookup: find relevant entries without scanning the full table.
• Less friction: no need to export or move data elsewhere.
• Better focus: reduce noise when working with large datasets.
• Simple workflow: search happens directly inside the table view.
Impact:
Teams can review and triage table data more efficiently, especially when working with larger support queues.
