Layout and spacing
Adjust the table’s visual density to match your use case. Layout and spacing options help you choose between a denser table for operational work and a more comfortable layout for readability.
Quick guide
- Open the Themes tab in the table setup panel.
- Select Layout and spacing.
- Choose the preset that best fits your table.
- Preview the result and click Save to apply it.
Tip: These settings only affect presentation. They do not change the underlying data.
Available options
- Default — Balanced spacing for general use.
- Compact — Denser layout for tables with many rows.
- Comfortable — More spacing for easier reading.
- Striped — Alternating row backgrounds for better visual separation.
When to use each option
- Default — A balanced choice for most tables.
- Compact — Best when screen space is limited or the table contains many rows.
- Comfortable — Useful for review-heavy tables or stakeholder-facing views.
- Striped — Helpful for wide tables or long lists where row tracking matters.
Project Ops
Hikari Solutions — PMO Department
Context and challenge:
The PMO team manages a large table with ongoing tasks across multiple projects. When many rows are visible, scrolling can slow down reviews.
Solution:
They switch the table to Compact mode to reduce vertical spacing and fit more rows on screen without changing the data itself.
Impact:
The team can review more tasks at once and navigate the table more efficiently.
Layout and spacing options are a simple way to adapt the same table to different contexts, from dense operational views to more readable presentation-style tables.
