Download table as CSV or Excel
Allow users to export table contents as either a CSV or an Excel file with one click. Simple Tables adds both “Download CSV” and “Download Excel” buttons, making it easy to share or analyze data externally.
How to enable
- Edit the table macro or import dialog.
- Toggle on Enable CSV download or Enable Excel download.
- Save or publish — both buttons appear below the table.
Clicking “Download CSV” exports the table as a CSV file—ideal for spreadsheets or BI tools.
Clicking “Download Excel” generates a .xlsx file—perfect for advanced analysis in Excel.
Why it matters
Quick exports streamline data workflows, reduce manual work, and improve collaboration: export the same table in the format that best fits your team or toolchain.
