Capture, validate and repair an entry

Fill in a page-level metadata record and understand its compliance state.

Before you begin

  • A published page containing a configured Simple Metadata macro.
  • Permission to edit the page.

Open the entry

Edit the Confluence page and use the Simple Metadata macro configured for the schema you need. The form is generated from the schema, so required fields, formats and allowed values match the definition.

Save valid values

Complete the fields and save the page-level entry. The form checks required values, types, formats and constraints before it saves.

Review a compliance warning

If an existing entry no longer matches its current schema, inspect the compliance state. Use Fix only for the best-effort repair, then review highlighted fields that still need a person to decide the correct value.
