FIELD TYPES

Number fields

v2.1.0+

Capture measurable values with optional bounds and steps.

When to use it

Use Number for quantities, scores and amounts. The value is numeric, so reports can use numeric range filters when the field is indexed.

Configure the field

Set a minimum or maximum, and choose whether the boundary itself is allowed. The step selector offers any number, whole numbers, halves, quarters and tenths. You can set a numeric default.

Example

See how this field can appear in a real schema.

  • Risk score0–5, including both limits, in whole-number steps
    Number

Important behaviour

Choose a step that matches the data. A step of 1 means multiples of 1, so whole-number input is expected.
