FIELD TYPES

Date / Time fields

v2.1.0+

Capture dates, timestamps or times of day.

When to use it

Use Date / Time for a review date, event timestamp or time of day. Choose Date only, Date & time or Time only before authors start entering values.

Configure the field

Choose a display format appropriate to the precision: local or standard date/time, and relative display for dates or timestamps. Defaults can use now; dates and timestamps can also use yesterday or tomorrow.

Example

See how this field can appear in a real schema.

  • Next review dateIndex to filter reports by date range
    Date only

Important behaviour

This is a formatted string field. Changing its precision can make existing values fail validation, so review the schema update impact.
