FIELD TYPES

Field group fields

v2.1.0+

Organize named subfields inside one nested object.

When to use it

Use Field group when related values belong together, such as an address or ownership details.

Configure the field

Add nested properties to the group. Each child has its own type, label, required setting and eligible constraints. Groups can contain further groups or lists.

Example

See how this field can appear in a real schema.

  • ReviewerWho reviewed the record
    Person
  • Review dateWhen the review happened
    Date only
  • DecisionThe review outcome
    Single choice

These three subfields belong to one Review details group.

Important behaviour

The group itself is not a report filter. Index eligible scalar children that people need to filter, and keep their paths stable when editing a live schema.
