Choose Boolean
Choose the column that contains yes/no values, then check its icons in the preview.
- 1
Edit the Simple Table macro and open Columns.
- 2
Select the column and choose Boolean under Display → Data type.
- 3
Check the preview and save. Boolean cells display checked or unchecked icons.
Good to know
Boolean does not open a separate format panel. Its value can still be used in table filters.
What appears in the table
Boolean shows a checked or unchecked icon rather than the original word.
| Source value | Displayed as |
|---|---|
| true / yes | ☑ Checked |
| false / no | ☐ Unchecked |
| 1 | ☑ Checked |
| 0 or an empty cell | ☐ Unchecked |
When you import text, the app recognizes “yes”, “no”, “true” and “false” without regard to capitalization. Other non-empty text can appear checked, so review the preview if your source uses different words.
