CONFIGURE COLUMNS

Hide a column

Remove a column from the published table view while keeping it in the Simple Table macro configuration.

Hide a column

Use the visibility control for the column you want to remove from view.

    Open Columns

    Edit the Simple Table macro and select the Columns tab.

  2. 2

    Turn visibility off

    Open the column. In Column details, click Visible / On. The control changes to Hidden / Off.

  3. 3

    Check and save

    Confirm that the column is absent from the table preview, then save the macro.

Show it again

Open the same column in Columns and click Hidden / Off. It changes back to Visible / On. Check the preview and save.

A focused report

A report has useful internal fields that readers do not need to see.

Keep the data

Hiding a column changes its display in this table; it does not delete the column or its source values. It is a layout setting, not a way to protect sensitive information. Use Confluence permissions or Incognito mode for access control.

For Simple Table with Body, Confluence may still show the original native table while you edit the page. Check the Simple Tables preview or the published page to see the hidden column removed from the interactive table.
