Appearance options
Appearance controls how each category value looks in the table. Assigned colors remain in place when you switch between these styles.
Pills
Colored lozenges. This is the default.
Status
Outlined statuses in the Confluence style.
Colored text
Text shown in the value’s assigned color.
Simple
A small colored circle beside the text.
Raw
Plain text without category styling.
Discovered values and colors
The editor reads the different values already present in the column and previews them using your chosen appearance.
| What you do or see | What happens |
|---|---|
| A value appears in the list | It receives an automatic color. You can see that color beside the value. |
| Choose a different color | The new color is saved for that value and used wherever the same value appears. |
| Remove a chosen color | The value stays in the table and returns to its automatic color. |
| More than 25 different values | The editor shows a warning because so many categories may be hard to distinguish. |
| More than 50 different values | Only the first 50 appear in the editor list. The other values remain in the table. |
Add a custom value
Use Add custom value to enter a label and choose its color, even if the value is not yet present in the data. Custom values can be edited or removed later. This defines how a matching value will look; it does not add a row to the table.
