Save table data as an attachment
At the bottom of table setup, choose Store as → Attachment and save the macro. Simple Tables keeps the static table data in a JSON attachment on the current Confluence page.
What is saved?
The storage choice determines where Simple Tables keeps the data it uses to display the table.
Newly saved table
Simple Tables creates a JSON attachment with the prepared table rows. It does not preserve an uploaded CSV or Excel file as the original source file.
Existing attachment as a source
If the table already reads a Confluence attachment, changing only column settings keeps that attachment. It does not create another file.
Other storage choices
Page Content and Atlassian Store are separate choices. Your administrator controls which ones are available.
When is it available?
Store as → Attachment appears for tables whose data is saved with the macro. Tables that read a live source or use a native Confluence table follow a different data flow.
Static data
Store as is available for pasted or uploaded data.
Live sources and native tables
This storage choice is not shown for live sources, joined tables or native Confluence tables.
