ADD DATA

Upload a file

Create a table from a CSV, JSON, or Excel file on your computer. Use this route when the file is not yet attached to the current Confluence page.

Choose a file and set up the table

Choose a file, check the preview that opens automatically, then set up the table.

    Choose Browse files

    Add the Simple Table macro to a Confluence page. Open the Data tab and select Browse files.

    Select your local file

    Choose a CSV, JSON, XLS, or XLSX file from your computer.

    Check the preview

    The preview opens automatically after you choose a file. It shows up to five table rows and the total detected row and column counts. For CSV and JSON, it also shows a sample of the file contents; for Excel, it shows the file name.

    Set up the table

    Choose Configure table. Adjust the columns and display using the full dataset, then save or publish the page.

Tip

Upload is for a file you want to bring into this table’s setup. If the file should be managed as an attachment alongside the Confluence page, use From page attachment instead.
